In a report by Reuters new agency, a filing in US District Court today shows the US Army Corps of Engineers will grant the final easement needed to finish the protested Dakota Access Pipeline. This permit will allow pipeline owner Energy Transfer Partner to tunnel under Lake Oahe which is part of the Missouri River system. Water Protector protesters have been on site since April 1, 2016 when 200 Native Americans rode on horseback to protest the pipe’s location.
