Reuters news agency reports that as the Islamic State is driven out of eastern Mosul, Iraq: dolls, teddy bears and action figures are returning. The terrorist group banned toys with faces or eyes which they said was a form of idolatry. A father who was purchasing toys at a shop called Alaad for Toys said, “Children were oppressed (under Islamic State), they didn’t leave anything they didn’t ban. No faces on toys. Everyone was oppressed: young and old. The toys are back, life is back, we are free.”
