26 Dead in Venezuelan Protests

Reuters news agency reports that 26 people have died since protests against socialist President Nicolas Maduro’s government began a month ago. Supporters and opponents of President Maduro have died during the daily rallies. Those gathering in support of the government accuse opponents of attempting a coup with US support. According to the report, the opposition demands elections, the release of jailed activists and autonomy for the opposition led legislature.
