As reported by Reuters news agency, four civilians were killed and one seriously wounded when an artillery shell hit the courtyard of a private house. The Ukrainian regional administration said the shelling was carried out by pro-Russian separatist rebels using artillery banned under the terms of the 2015 Minsk peace deal. Fighting between the pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainian government forces began in April 2014 after a pro-European uprising in Kiev ousted Ukraine’s Moscow-backed president. Over 10,000 people have been killed.
