North Korea Tests New Missile

Reuters news agency reports today that North Korea fired a ballistic missile that traveled 430 miles (700 km) and landed in the sea 60 miles (97 km) from Russia. Experts said the altitude of 1,245 miles (2,000 km) reached by the missile meant it was launched at a high trajectory which limits a missile’s lateral distance. If fired at a standard trajectory, it would have traveled at least 2,500 miles (4,000 km).
