As reported by Reuters news agency today, a cyber attack hindered Chinese traffic police and schools. Since Friday’s initial worldwide cyberattack, China has proven to be particularly vulnerable. The WannaCry “ransomeware” previously required a $300 payment to unlock victims’ computers but the demand is expected to double to $600 for affected systems. Again, officials and security firms said the spread was starting to slow as European authorities said they were trying to prevent hackers from spreading new versions of the virus.
